Ever find yourself drifting away into a thoughtful world where inspiration is at every corner and a kind smile is on every face?  Well, I don’t either.  My driftiness is usually toward things I need to do today or the stressers of my life compounding like interest from a brokerage account tripling every couple years.   “Life is too short” they say, I say Life is too stressful, we need to take a moment and relax from this burden that deters us from accomplishing something to completion.   Perhaps its time to gather our friends and family and appreciate all the things we take for granted.  Hope your day is well on this dreary afternoon saturday.  - Or if you’re Facebook Happy: The Facebook World- Or if you’re Google Savvy: My Google+ Page High-res

    Ever find yourself drifting away into a thoughtful world where inspiration is at every corner and a kind smile is on every face?  Well, I don’t either.  My driftiness is usually toward things I need to do today or the stressers of my life compounding like interest from a brokerage account tripling every couple years.  

    “Life is too short” they say, I say Life is too stressful, we need to take a moment and relax from this burden that deters us from accomplishing something to completion.   Perhaps its time to gather our friends and family and appreciate all the things we take for granted.

    What is really happening over that mountain?
    Getting to Grandmothers house is going to be harder than originally planned.

    Perhaps the Journey really is better than the Destination?
    All I know is that Life is always worth living when memories are worth remembering and not quickly forgotten.

    Hammocking in the British Virgin IslandsDown in the British Virgin Islands, there is this little hut called the Soggy Dollar and will serve a variety of things but their only requirement is that it has to be paid with cash. Which is funny because in order to get to the beach you must jump from your boat and swim to shore due to the way the beach/sand and all of that other confusing things are in this part of the world. So of course I was interested, then I was even more delighted when I came upon these palm trees and hammock, I spent quite a bit time in there as I had just finished a 10 mile Hike.

    Down in the British Virgin Islands, there is this little hut called the Soggy Dollar and will serve a variety of things but their only requirement is that it has to be paid with cash. Which is funny because in order to get to the beach you must jump from your boat and swim to shore due to the way the beach/sand and all of that other confusing things are in this part of the world.

    The Light of the Tree

    Burning bright as the sun shines comforts this tree with its comforting warmth of life. I guess I can be called a tree-hugger but I’m not as diehard tree huggish as some out there but, I do appreciate scenes like this that brings an idea of perfection all of the world.

    That perhaps in this moment no wrong is being done to one another and no bad thing is being thought about or embraced.

    Monsoon Rains to Sunshine Skies This weekend me and the Lady went up to seattle, Why? Well this weekend was the only Sun we’ve seen in the past 3 or 70 weeks!?!? its been doom n gloom around here. So what better than making a weekend out of it. The sun was out, the heat was raging awesome at a cool but warm 70+ degrees. My burns on my forehead state that it was a pleasant weekend outside This photo is the first edited photo from the weekend. I finally was able to take the Nikon D800 outside and play due to the decent weather… I know its “weather sealed” but I didn’t want to take the chance in the monsoon rains we’ve been having. So far I am loving this cam. High-res

    Water Needs all Across the World The thought that there are people out there that have nothing safe to drink for days, make me want to get up and do something.  The thought that there are people that openly risk their lives and drink parasite infested waters just to survive a few more months or maybe just days make me wonder how can we ever complain about anything.  Really, anything.  We are so fortunate as Americans to have Fresh Water, sure we have our problems, just turn on the news, anywhere and it will be filled with our “problems” but problems such as water needs to be known. Deaths Rising to 6,000 a day due to this preventable disease and most of these deaths of children.  Helpless innocent children.  Lets take action.  Get involved or contact me for help. The 3-D Effects of Color and Alignment In photography it is very easy to take away color and add color where you see fit.  Basically adding attention, direction and vision towards what you want the viewers to see.  Just by adding and taking away color.  Also aligning your photo in such a way that the frame of the picture suggests your eyes to see certain things that you may want to direct attention to.  Event Photog’s have to do this on a photo by photo basis.  I’m glad I don’t necessarily have to think of the sciences of the eye on each photo but honestly, at times I do.     The 3-D Effects of Color and Alignment

    In photography it is very easy to take away color and add color where you see fit.  Basically adding attention, direction and vision towards what you want the viewers to see.  Just by adding and taking away color.  Also aligning your photo in such a way that the frame of the picture suggests your eyes to see certain things that you may want to direct attention to.  Event Photog’s have to do this on a photo by photo basis.  I’m glad I don’t necessarily have to think of the sciences of the eye on each photo but honestly, at times I do.

    A Geyser Filled Event at Yellowstone National Park The thought of Yellowstone National Park as an Event is sort of confusing.  It should feel better than that.  Or seems like you’d want more from that? and/or how can a place be an event.  But after walking around, seeing animals that you never see anywhere else, hills, valleys and random water-looking splashes pop and stream out of the ground let me tell you, its an event.  You go there looking to be entertained, enlightened, and wow’d!  I was wow’d at the very site of any hole spewing water-like substances out of the ground.  Then the Color that would be growing on the ground was so fascinating.  I would go to say that what wasn’t fascinating was the smell.  It was as if millions of eggs the size of dinosaurs were rotting all over the place.  And with each intake of breath you think “is this the last breath I’ll ever take?”  Anyway, it was a nice day for a walk, of course as a photographer, I wished that the sky was more dramatic, but when you only have a day to get it, you’ll take what you can get.  Hope you enjoy it.
