Hammocking in the British Virgin IslandsDown in the British Virgin Islands, there is this little hut called the Soggy Dollar and will serve a variety of things but their only requirement is that it has to be paid with cash. Which is funny because in order to get to the beach you must jump from your boat and swim to shore due to the way the beach/sand and all of that other confusing things are in this part of the world. So of course I was interested, then I was even more delighted when I came upon these palm trees and hammock, I spent quite a bit time in there as I had just finished a 10 mile Hike.

    The Path Towards the Inferno
Here in Seattle Washington it is not often that we have clouds, Let me finish… Clouds that are interesting and dramatic!Yes, we have clouds, often, it is very frustrating since I believe I have that seasonal affected disorder and the sun brings me Joy.Back to my point. Taking photos in Seattle outside is difficult, cause either you have absolutely No Clouds or so much cloud coverage there is nothing to take a pic of that incorporates a cool sky,and let’s be honest, we all love a cool dramatic sky.So on this particular evening it was fun because Finally, a Cool Sky! An Obstruction Blocking the View
Some of the time people think that the cause of their problems are at the fault of others around them, their wife, husband, girlfriend, boyfriend, kids, friends, family, let’s be honest the list could go on foreverBut what if the fault of the issue, or problem or whatever is actually that of the view. You can’t see the big picture, something is obstructing its view. Perhaps if you find that obstruction you find the root of the issue and Bam crisis solved!

Cannon Beach, Oregon, Oh what a placeMy girlfriend and I spent a weekend there, just touring around seing the sights. It was of course mostly rainy while we were there, but that didnt dampen our fun.. eh eh get it… dampen! so hilarious I know.

I think the next time we go will be in July so perhaps we’ll have better luck then in getting at least a cool sky pic!

Time to Snuggle up and Get Cozy
The warm tones in this photo offer the idea that all you need now is some hot chocolate, a fire in the fireplace, nice tunes playing, a pretty so and so next to ya and a log cabin… There, if you have all that, you have perfection and should just celebrate your life right now.  I am close to all those things, hm, maybe I should look at it as a form of a check list or something.  I love that relaxing, cozy feeling.
This photo was taken of a log Cabin up by Mt. Rainier, it was after a long 15 mile hike and of course after stopping every 5 feet to take photos (and to catch my breath) it naturally took forever to get through the hike, but gotta say, I like the turn out and I hope you do too.  If you click on the photo and see the original on my Etsy Page you can see the star shift indicating how long A: the shutter speed was and also the earth’s tilt.  Pretty cool stuff.  High-res

    I Would Be…
I would be a Poet, I would be a Singer-Songwriter, I would be fluent with words at speaking engagements, I would be a Painter, I would be a sketch Artist, I would be a Graffiti Guru, I would be mountain climber, I would be a fighter of causes, I would be kayaker, I would be a swimmer, I would be a World Traveler, I would be a Nobel Prize Winner, I would have an Oprah Sticker on my Book, I would be a Rock Climber, I would be Road Biker (bicycling), I would Passionate if Only I….
What Holds us Back? I suppose if I excelled at all these things, time would not be an issue with me, sleep would not be needed and food was only a substance I thought about from time and again.  I think I would be a machine.  How often do we all have so many interests, so many desires, so many things we want to accompish to the point where it feels like an overload!  We feel exhausted and end up doing nothing.  Or watching someone else do one of these things to the point of perfection and saying to ourselves “I want to do that” and then watching someone else do something to the point of perfection, us then thinking “why can’t I do THESE things” truth is we can’t.  We are not Machines, we can’t master everything.  Finding our passion and sticking with it is the hardest thing any one of us can do.  I think after 28 years, I have found my passion.  My Realistic Passion.  Traveling, Photography, little Writings.  So what if I’m not Shakespeare, Monet or Bono.  I can only do so much and I am happy with that.   Are You Happy?
