Sittin on the Dock by the Bay, Wasting Time.
Edited by: James A. B.

Ever find yourself drifting away into a thoughtful world where inspiration is at every corner and a kind smile is on every face?  Well, I don’t either.  My driftiness is usually toward things I need to do today or the stressers of my life compounding like interest from a brokerage account tripling every couple years.
“Life is too short” they say, I say Life is too stressful, we need to take a moment and relax from this burden that deters us from accomplishing something to completion.   Perhaps its time to gather our friends and family and appreciate all the things we take for granted.
Hope your day is well on this dreary afternoon saturday.

Hammocking in the British Virgin IslandsDown in the British Virgin Islands, there is this little hut called the Soggy Dollar and will serve a variety of things but their only requirement is that it has to be paid with cash. Which is funny because in order to get to the beach you must jump from your boat and swim to shore due to the way the beach/sand and all of that other confusing things are in this part of the world. So of course I was interested, then I was even more delighted when I came upon these palm trees and hammock, I spent quite a bit time in there as I had just finished a 10 mile Hike.

    The Path Towards the Inferno
Here in Seattle Washington it is not often that we have clouds, Let me finish… Clouds that are interesting and dramatic!Yes, we have clouds, often, it is very frustrating since I believe I have that seasonal affected disorder and the sun brings me Joy.Back to my point. Taking photos in Seattle outside is difficult, cause either you have absolutely No Clouds or so much cloud coverage there is nothing to take a pic of that incorporates a cool sky,and let’s be honest, we all love a cool dramatic sky.So on this particular evening it was fun because Finally, a Cool Sky! An Obstruction Blocking the View
Some of the time people think that the cause of their problems are at the fault of others around them, their wife, husband, girlfriend, boyfriend, kids, friends, family, let’s be honest the list could go on foreverBut what if the fault of the issue, or problem or whatever is actually that of the view. You can’t see the big picture, something is obstructing its view. Perhaps if you find that obstruction you find the root of the issue and Bam crisis solved!

    The Light of the Tree
By: James A. B.

Burning bright as the sun shines comforts this tree with its comforting warmth of life. I guess I can be called a tree-hugger but I’m not as diehard tree huggish as some out there but, I do appreciate scenes like this that brings an idea of perfection all of the world. That perhaps in this moment no wrong is being done to one another and no bad thing is being thought about or embraced.Ahhhh Peace

    Architecture at its Greatest
By: James A. B.

I wonder if there are architects out there that seeing a building like this, yes a building like this-This Crushed Can looking building actually sits the place of Seattles Space CenterGetting back, I wonder if architects see this building and get mad. Mad because it broke all the rules!Or, are there architects out there that rejoice the rule breaking? It seems that in this world of consistent change and fast moving, and everything being instant, Rules are Being Broken. We have “rules” or perhaps suggestions in photography, but honestly, breaking them is more fun, and it seems to be the thing to do these days….Creatively speaking that is ; )

    Fashion Scares Me
Continuing my journey in learning as much as I can about retouching from many greats out there…
But I need practice!  So if you want your photo taken and composited in various ways including this one for your own use, let me know, I’d be glad to give it a whack!

All Points Lead to the Needle
“They say” that in composition it is a good idea to have your subject pointed out such as in leading lines or having elements in your environment point to your primary subject. Well that is precisely what I tried to do in this photo… By the way who are “They” anyway….
So take a look- the edge of the architectural building points to the needle, the trees at the top left point to the needle, the two shiny pillars point to the needle, even the trees in the background and the path of the sidewalk all point, and lead the eye to the needle… Accident? I think not. High-res
